It evolved from what was formerly known as MasDHRRA (1974-1998) and later, DHRRA Network Malaysia (1999 – 2005) that worked towards organizing a strong rural and self-reliant community through poverty alleviation and people’s empowerment initiatives. |

 A paralegal training session for community leaders was held in Pontian. In this session, the participants were exposed to the Malaysian Legal System. The areas which were covered were Family Law, Consumer Law, Criminal Law and Employment Law. The community leaders were given opportunity to understand the law. They were also given chances to share their experience. |

 ERA Consumer Malaysia (ERA) and DHRRA Malaysia carried out 2 paralegal workshops for MIC Wanita leaders in Port Dickson and Penang.  About eighty-five [(45 participants in Port Dickson and 40 participants from Penang)] individuals from a cross section of the community attended this workshop. The participants ranged in experience from the head of National Women’s wing to state and division women leaders. The first workshop was in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan held from the 6th – 8th October 2006 at Hotel Sri Malaysia. In that workshop participants were mainly from the southern region i.e. Johor, Pahang, Melaka, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. The second workshop was held at Tanjung Bungah Hotel in Penang from the 3rd – 5th November 2006 where participants were from the northern region i.e. Perak, Kedah, Penang, Perlis and even participants from Kelantan and Terengganu.

ERA Community Centre was invited to provide training sessions for community leaders and other NGOs. These sessions were held to prepare the leaders and NGOs in their quest to uplift the underprivileged from their current low socioeconomic status as a community and as individuals.

TOT Programmes
A Paralegal training was held at Pangkor Puteri Resort from 13 to 15 May 2010.The participants were ladies from various backgrounds. The purpose of the training was to equip these ladies with knowledge about law and inculcate awareness in them so that they can reach out to their community.
A paralegal training session on the Malaysian Legal System was conducted at Kuala Lumpur. Youth leaders representing various organizations participated in this 3 days and 2 nights training program. 
A Paralegal Training Program was conducted for youth leaders at Kuala Lumpur recently. Through this workshops, the participants were exposed to Malaysian Legal System. 
In conjunction with Professional Day, DHRRA Malaysia was invited to conduct a training program for selected primary school teachers in the state of Perak. This training program focused on the effective teacher – student communication skills.
In line with the aim to empower the Malaysian community, paralegal training sessions were held in Kuala Lumpur and Slim River. Through these sessions, local community leaders were chosen to be equipped with skills and knowledge on the basic Malaysian Law Introduction to the Malaysian Legal System, Family Law, Consumer Law, Employment Law and Criminal Law.
Law is a code or set of rules that regulates the behaviors of the members of societies. It affects, directly or indirectly, almost everything that we do; buying a house, marriage, divorce, replacing a defective electrical good, murder, and etc. It is important to become aware of the various laws; how it works and how it can protect us.
