KLUANG: The Home Ministry is set to send out 262,985 uncollected MyKad within two months – even if its officers have to knock on the doors of card owners.
“My ministry officers have even delivered the cards personally to the homes of card holders. We have also advertised their names in the papers,” said minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.

 2010/02/02 By Evangeline Majawat KUALA LUMPUR: The government is looking at limiting National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loans to only cover the tuition fees.This is one of the possible solutions contained in a study carried out by the Higher Education Ministry to rein in PTPTN’s growing budget. Its minister, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, said his ministry was weighing the amount and criteria for PTPTN loan applicants. |

"This will give the elderly and less educated applicants a chance to get their citizenship approved," Datuk Lau Yeng Peng, special officer to Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, said yesterday.

IPOH: The Home Ministry has denied allegations that it rejects applications for citizenship without stating reasons.
Datuk Lau Yeng Peng, who is the special officer to Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, said: “On the contrary, the ministry does state the reasons for rejecting the application by informing the applicants which requirement under the Constitution, in particular, has not been met.”
