DHRRA Malaysia is a voluntary non-profit and non-political organization registered in 2006 under the Societies Act of Malaysia 1966. It evolved from what was formerly known as MasDHRRA (1974-1998) and later, DHRRA Network Malaysia (1999 – 2005) that worked towards organizing a strong rural and self-reliant community through poverty alleviation and people’s empowerment initiatives.
Following the announcement from the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in the 2010 Budget tabling, the 1Malaysia Retirement Savings Scheme is introduced as the Government's inisiative to ensure that the self-employed and individuals without fixed monthly income have their own savings plan upon reaching the retirement age. This scheme is effective beginning 3 January 2010.
DHRRA Malaysia conducted a skills training program in Negeri Sembilan. In this session, the participants were taught to weave pillow case using ribbon. This program was conducted in collaboration with Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development.

As depicted in a well-known Tamil Movie entitled "Tamilan", Mr Saravanan Sinapan urged all members of community to grasp the basic law of Malaysia. According to the President of DHRRA Malaysia, in order to understand what is happening around us, we should first know about our legal system. Knowing and understanding the law which governs this country will help one to become assertive and walk the pathway of daily live confidently.
The Community Centre organized a capacity building program for women in collaboration with Ministry of Women,Family and Community Development in Sitiawan. Around 70 women participated in this program.

Syarat dan Kelayakan Asas
1. Kewarganegaraan Pemohon mestilah warganegara Malaysia. 2. Umur Pemohon mestilah berumur melebihi 18 tahun dan kurang daripada 50 tahun pada tarikh permohonan.
3. Kelayakan i. Memiliki Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pendidikan yang diiktiraf oleh kerajaan; atau ii. Memiliki Ijazah Sarjana Muda beserta Diploma Pendidikan yang diiktiraf oleh kerajaan; dan iii. Memiliki kepujian Bahasa Melayu di peringkat Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia atau setaraf dengannnya.
Pemohon wajib memenuhi Syarat Am dan Syarat Khas program pengajian. Lepasan SPM/Setaraf
Syarat Am permohonan kemasukan ke IPTA bagi Program Pengajian Lepasan SPM/Setaraf adalah seperti berikut :-
* Warganegara Malaysia dan * Lulus peperiksaan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) atau setaraf dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya LIMA (5) kepujian termasuk Bahasa Melayu.
